Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

Yes, Victoria Mireles, LMFT currently takes Optum (United Healthcare), and Aetna which can be used for individual sessions of 45 or 60 minutes. You can also call your insurance provider and request a single-case agreement to help you use your insurance benefits. A single-case agreement allows you to see a provider out of your network at the cost of an in-network clinician. A form must be submitted, but tends to be approved within 30 days! We can help with this to help make sure therapy is affordable.

Can I use insurance for couples therapy?

No. We currently only treat the relationship, as we are focused on increasing connection and intimacy that insurance denies due to not being medically necessary. However, if you are dealing with mental health issues such as BPD, Bipolar Disorder, or something similar, we will use individual sessions and bring your partner in occasionally to help support you with coping skills and creating new habits, etc. This is not considered couples counseling because we are focusing on you as the individual and getting you the support needed to be effective in your environment. Insurance does NOT cover relationship issues such as infidelity, deceit, or lack of happiness in a relationship. If you are unsure please reach out and we can discuss options!

Do I have to go every week?

No, based on the symptoms and needs of each client it varies. However, scheduling every week means you have access to revolving appointments to help maintain a routine.
